Since their inception in Trondheim, Norway in 1991, the bi-annual FAST conferences have been the world's leading technical conferences addressing fast sea transportation issues. FAST 2011, the 11th International Conference on Fast Sea Transportation, will be held at the Hyatt Regency in beautiful Waikiki in Honolulu, Hawaii, from September 26 to 29, 2011, promoting world-wide cooperation among scientists and engineers concerned with all aspects of the high-speed maritime industry.
The technical program will focus on high-quality papers and invited Keynote Lecturers. A thorough review process, of both abstracts and full manuscripts, will be used to select papers whose originality, relevance, timeliness, and significance meet the standards FAST attendees have come to expect. The conference will be conducted in English.

15 May 2012 - FAST 2013 UPDATE! Due to unforeseen circumstances, the location for the 12th International Conference on Fast Sea Transportation (FAST 2013) has been changed to Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The dates have not been finalized, but will most likely be in early September, 2013. The Organizing Committee is working to get their website up and running soon - we will publish a link here as soon as it becomes available. See you in Amsterdam!
03 Apr 2012 - At long last, the Proceedings are available for download! Instructions for accessing the online files have been emailed to all registered participants. If you did not register for FAST 2011, but would like to purchase access to the Proceedings, please visit http://www.navalengineers.org/Proceedings and
follow the directions provided.
03 Feb 2012 - The last of the copyright transfer agreement forms has finally been received, the Proceedings have been updated with all revisions and corrections that were submitted post-conference, and the resulting pdf files were delivered to ASNE headquarters yesterday. We anticipate that the Proceedings will be posted and ready for download on or about 01 March 2012; notification by email will be made to all conference attendees when they are available.
05 Oct 2011 - The online proceedings for FAST 2011 are still in preparation, and we hope to make them available soon. We are presently incorporating a number of late revisions and corrections submitted by authors, and we are also following up with authors who have not yet submitted the required "Copyright Transfer Agreement and Release for Publication" form. This form must be completed for every paper prior to publication. Thanks to everyone in advance for their cooperation in completing this necessary administrative detail.
04 Oct 2011 - Aloha! FAST 2011 successfully concluded on 29 Sep, with over 160 attendees from 18 countries participating in a technical program of 115 papers and two invited Keynote speakers. A warm mahalo (thank you) to all the authors, volunteers, and Navatek staff who made this conference possible.
